#TravelYourWay My Ideal Family Holiday

Since our boys arrived, the ideal holiday for us all is one that is family-friendly, after all if the boys are happy and relaxed, my husband and I will be happy and relaxed too! There are a few key requirements we look out for in booking a family holiday and after searching through some of the destinations on offer from the luxury holiday company Azure, Antigua certainly seems to fit the bill! Here are my top five requirements for booking a family holiday and why Antigua ticks every box!

Comfort
It's important to my husband and I that we find comfortable accommodation for the boys so that we know they will sleep well and will have enough room to relax and play. It's also vital that there are accessible facilities like baths and showers, wash basins and the option to cook if we are opting for a self-catered holiday. With small children, ensuring we are staying in comfortable, warm and safe accommodation is a must! With generous family-sized suites, Carlisle Bay, Antigua will definitely provide a home from home.

Sun, sea and sand!
There's nothing better than little ones on the beach; all that space to run around and play! We've made some precious family memories from days spent at the seaside. My boys love splashing in the sea, collecting shells and digging big holes. And when the sun is shining, it's even better! With its stretches of white sand and turquoise seas, Antigua can certainly offer all of this!

Activities
Keeping two lively boys entertained for a week or two can certainly have it's challenges and so when picking a holiday we like to ensure there will be enough activities to keep them occupied for the week. There are a whole host of activities to enjoy on the island including horse-riding, scuba-diving and boat trips for example!

Dining
Children can be a little bit fussy when it comes to meal times so we like to ensure that we select a holiday where we know we will have access to some food that they will enjoy. In Carlisle bay there are four restaurants offering a selection of different dishes and it's popular Indigo on the Beach restaurant has a varied children's menu too!

Peace and tranquility
I like to encourage the boys to take some time to rest and re-cooperate every now and again. School terms can be quite demanding even during primary school and so during school holidays it's important that they get the opportunity to enjoy some downtime. With it's picturesque scenery, relaxed way of life and open and unspoiled views, even the littlest people can enjoy some rest and relaxation!
