10 Romantic Places to Visit during your Boston Honeymoon

Boston is a beautiful city with a Victorian touch. This fact alone makes it a great destination to spend your Honeymoon in. So, why don’t you plan a trip to Boston and explore all of these attractions with your spouse? To make the trip more romantic, how about preparing some jewelry or accessories for your beloved one and surprise her?

1. Boston Common and Public Garden
Boston Common and the Public Garden is the perfect place for you lovebirds to go on an evening stroll in Boston. Boston Common is hosting all kinds of activities depending on the season you visit. Tennis, Ice Skating etc. are the favourites of both locals and tourists. You can also arrange a picnic here whilst watching a movie for example, because there is free Wi-Fi. The Public Garden, on the other hand, is the oldest park and the first botanical garden in America with the famous "Freedom Trail"; walk along this trail and you will find it relaxing with the ponds, flower beds, green vegetation and street performers.


2. Museum of Fine Arts

The Museum of Fine Arts which is also known as the MFA, contains more than 450000 artwork, making it one of the biggest art collections in America. The highlights are Ancient Egyptian artefacts, Buddha statues, Dutch Golden Age paintings, Chinese paintings and calligraphy. It also has the largest collection of Japanese art outside Japan which comprises over 4000 paintings, 5000 ceramic pieces, and 30000 ukiyo-e prints. The Museum of Fine Arts also houses a large collection of books including the Hartley Collection and the Rothschild Collection.

3. Charles River Esplanade
The Charles River Esplanade is a park in Boston located next to the Museum of Science. Here, you can do many activities together. You can ride a bicycle or jog along with the walking paths, enrol in a fitness class, do yoga at sunset etc. You can also find guided tours that last up to two hours and by this, you can learn more about the history or wildlife of Boston. And if you long for a beer or two, you can head to the Owl's Nest Beer Garden.

4. Skywalk Observatory
Skywalk Observatory is located at the heart of Boston city. It is not a separate building but a part of the Prudential Building which is the second tallest building in Boston. The observatory deck is located on the 50th floor of the building and it offers panoramic views across the city. At a distance, you will be able to see the Charles River too! You can also listen to the commentary through the handheld commentator there and also choose what language you want to listen to.

5. Bella Sante Spa
Treat yourself with an afternoon spa at the Bella Sante Spa located on Newbury Street of Boston. The spa has nine treatment rooms where you can get body massages, facial treatments, acne treatments, manicures & pedicures, medical massages etc. A suggestion would be to try out one of the massages; tension relief massage, coconut oil massage, satin body treatment or Himalayan salt treatment. Couples massages usually run for about one hour and at the end, you will feel your mind, body and soul relaxed! The spa is open every day and it will cost about $100 for a one hour massage.

6. Boston Symphony Hall
The Boston Symphony Hall was designed for the Boston Symphony Orchestra and as of now, it hosts about 250 concerts annually! So, why don't you head to the Boston Symphony Hall in the evening to enjoy a lovely concert with your spouse? The musicians here are very talented and give extraordinary performances to their audiences. The concerts usually start at 8.00 PM and there are special concerts hosted at the time of the holidays. But make sure to book tickets in advance because they sell out quicker than expected.

7. Top of the Hub
The Top of the Hub located at the top of the Prudential Center is the perfect place to have a romantic dinner with your spouse! It is one the 52nd floor of the Prudential Center which means that it offers breathtaking views of Downtown Boston at night. Top of the Hub is operated by Select Restaurants, Inc., and it also has excellent cuisine with both Western and Asian menus to delight you on your date night. You can also enjoy music from the jazz band that is inside the restaurant, sip a glass of wine or have a cocktail as well.

8. Rooftop Pool at the Colonnade
If you want to relax in an outdoor pool to release off your heat with your spouse, you can head to the Rooftop Pool at the Colonnade Hotel. You can swim, enjoy a bite or two of the delicacies they offer and sip on a cocktail. The Rooftop pool is open to the public on weekdays. The rental times are from 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM and from 3.30 PM to 7.00 PM. After 4.00 PM, the pool can be used only by individuals about 21 of age. Admission for the pool is $45 per person and they charge about $20 for food/beverages.

9. Boston Brewery Beer Garden

You can head to the Boston Brewery Beer Garden to have a tour, but keep in mind that prior reservation is needed. You will get to learn about the process of brewing beers, the history of making beer and sample beers and local snacks at the end of the tour. Tours are offered from Wednesday to Sunday, usually from 4.00 PM to 8.00 PM on Wednesdays but on weekends the tours start at noon and end at 6.00 PM.

10. Scullers Jazz Club
If you and your spouse are fans of Jazz music, you can head to the Scullers Jazz Club to see the performances by the best Jazz performers in Boston. The performances usually take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Make sure to get tickets to the Dinner and Show Jazz Performance. The dinner starts at 6.00 PM for the 8.00 PM show and it includes 3 courses of meals with several options including a glass of red or white house wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage!
